Grafiken und Poster, gerade wenn sie auch visuell ansprechend gestaltet sind, kreisen ja sehr schnell und vielfältig in der Bloglandschaft. Es sei nur an der Poster zum informellen Lernen von Jay Cross erinnert (hier) oder hier die Darstellung von Teemu Arina zum informellen Lernen.

Nun hat  Futurelab auch ein paar Poster zum informellen Lernen entwickelt – und diese aber auch (hier) mit ihre Forschungsergebnissen untermauert. Zwar wirken die auf den Postern dargestellten Geschichte  (und “Zitate”) für mich manchmal ein wenig zu sehr an den Haaren herbeigezoge, aber dennoch illustrieren sie für Einsteiger und Praktiker sehr gut die Formen informellen Lernen im Erwachsenenalter. Und für alle anderen, die mehr Tiefgang wünschen, gibt es ja dann die Forschungsergebnisse. Tolle Arbeit.

Das “Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills” der britischen Regierung hat das informelle Lernen zu einem Interessenschwerpunkt gemacht und eine öffentliche Diskussion zu diesem Thema angestoßen, “that will lead to a new vision for informal adult learning for the 21st century.” Grundlage für die Diskussion, die Forschung und Wirtschaft zusammenbringen soll, ist das Dokument “Informal Adult Learning – Shaping The Way Ahead“.

Darin werden folgende Themen behandelt:
Chapter 1 – gives a taste of the rich mix of informal adult learning: during the consultation we will commission a mapping of informal adult learning activity in order to identify gaps in what is available and/or accessible to different learner groups
Chapter 2 – sets out some of the exciting informal adult learning opportunities funded through a range of Government departments
Chapter 3 – describes our current adult education service in England: during the consultation we will open up the debate about its role for the future
Chapter 4 – reviews the issues about ensuring equality of access to learning
Chapter 5 – looks at the role of technology in informal adult learning: the consultation will ask what more can be done to ensure that learners can access cutting edge developments in technology and broadcasting
Chapter 6 – discussion points

Im Gegensatz zu anderen Consultations werden nicht nur Fragebögen eingesetzt – die nach eigener Aussage ohnehin nur die involvierten Organisationen und Personen erreichen – sondern Ziel ist es, die Diskussion in “specific groups” anzuregen. Der Aufruf zur Beteiligung geht somit an alle “who have an interest in informal adult learning, in whatever capacity or setting (…) so that we can pave the way towards a new offer for the 21st century and continue the tradition of improving adult lives through both formal and informal learning.”

Eine interessante Initiative, auf deren Ergebnisse ich sehr gespannt bin.
